CLINICAL OBSERVATION OF THE LOW BAGK PAIN.

Abstract
Low back pain has been called lumbago for a long time, a vague term meaning pain in the back and including a variety of condition. It is commonly today to think that the low back and sciatica syndrome is a disease of civilization, a disease of poor physical condition, and a disease of the automobile age.
It has been known that the inducing factors of low back pain are numerous such as congenital anomalies, degenerative, traumatic and inflammatory process of the spine and its adjacent structures. Clinical analysis was done for 211 cases of low back pain during recent 14 months.
The results were as follows ;
1) Of the total 211 cases, male and female were 150 and 61 respectively and in nearly half of all the involved person between 21 and 30 years of, age.
2) Chief complaints at the time of visit were lumbago, radiating pain, deformity of the lumbar region and walking disturbances.
3) The duration of symptoms before visit were more than 1 year in nearly all patients.
4) Of the total 211 cases, X?ray examination was done in 158 cases, in which 57 were revealed bony abnormalities including 40 of -congenital anomalies of the luribosacral spine.
5) Of the 211 cases, 13 were managed by surgery and all the others by conservative treatment with marked improvement.
